The Blind Horse Merging Wine with Art for Good
Eat. Drink. GIVE. Charitable Initiative Launches January 10
Kohler, Wis., Jan. 10,2017– A limited-edition Malbec is the first release in The Blind Horse’s brand new Eat. Drink. Give. charitable initiative. The Blind Horse, working in conjunction with artist Cassy Tully, will donate $20 of each limited-edition bottle sold to the chosen charity.
Cassy’s newest painting entitled Unbridled, is featured as the label artwork for the Malbec. It is only appropriate that REINS Equine-Assisted Therapies is the chosen charity, given Cassy’s beautiful painting that captures the fire and spirit of an elegant stallion.
“We have been thinking for the past year about ways in which The Blind Horse can give back to the community in more of an on-going fashion,” says Marketing Director Sandy Leske. “Yes we give back tremendously with our Run With Angels 5K/Art & Wine Festival, but that is event-based and only once a year. By merging special edition or small batch wines with art in this way, we are able to do something incredibly unique and positive for our community.”
Just over 500 bottles of the limited-edition Malbec will be available beginning January 10, which equates into thousands of dollars for REINS once they are all sold. The special Malbec is only available for sale at The Blind Horse in both the restaurant and winery.
To add to the charitable pot for REINS, Cassy will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the original painting to REINS as well as donating 20% of the sale of the 12x16 prints.
The original painting is on display in the winery and bids will be taken until April 25 with a minimum bid set at $750. Bids can be made in both the restaurant and winery.
On April 26, The Blind Horse Restaurant will host an auction party from 5:00 – 9:00 where the top bid will take home the painting.
The prints can be purchased at www.cassytully.com/shop/ anytime.
