A guitarist since the age of nine, Dr. Doug Syme has performed in nearly
every conceivable type of ensemble throughout a career that has spanned four decades. From
solo jazz or classical guitar, duos with innumerable instrumentalists and / or vocalists, rock,
blues, jazz, funk, R&B, big band, and musical theater Dr. Syme has done it all. He is also quite
active as a teacher, maintaining an active private teaching studio, serving as the director of jazz
studies at the Milwaukee HS of the Arts (MHSA), the rhythm section coach for WI state honors
jazz ensemble, and was the Wisconsin Music Education Association (WMEA) state chair for
jazz education.

Marcya Daneille is a jazz vocalist with an eclectic songbook that reflects the influences of her
diverse musical background. A classically trained vocalist whose distinct style combines the
influences of soul, pop, rock and gospel music, Marcya spent more than a decade in New York
supporting emerging and established artists as a voice coach and session singer. Marcya has
graced the stage of some of New York’s most legendary venues including Jazz at Lincoln
Center, Alice Tully Hall, the Apollo Theater, S.O.B.s and Miler Theater to name a few. Since
relocating to Milwaukee, WI Marcya has performed at Summerfest, Jazz in the Park, the Marcus
Center for the Performing Arts, Sunset Playhouse, Jazz Estate, Gibraltar, Geneva National
Resort and Grand Geneva Resort.
