We originally had the wonderful Sam Guyton scheduled for this evening but he had a scheduling conflict. HOWEVER, he is sending the awesome Kevin Kennedy, AKA Special K in his place!
“Special K,” a musical maestro whose journey began in the rhythm of his childhood. Inspired by his father, a member of the renowned 1960s R&B group “The Esquires,” Kevin’s musical passion ignited. From street corners to stages, his talent flourished alongside his brother in a 5-piece sensation, echoing the spirit of the iconic Jackson 5.
At just 17, Kevin co-founded “The Guess Band,” sparking a blazing trail across Wisconsin. With a gift for guitar, keyboards, and vocals, they shared the limelight with R&B legends like The Jets, Midnight Star, and Kool and the Gang. A burgeoning songwriter, Kevin collaborated with greats like Harvey Scales, Roger Troutman, and Zapp, crafting timeless originals.
In 1994, Kevin embarked on a solo journey, captivating audiences as an opening act for music titans such as The Dramatics and Frankie Beverly. His rich vocal stylings and dynamic presence led him to tour alongside renowned artists like H-Town and Next.
